William M Coffey, CFP®, NFLPA Registered Player Financial Advisor

Bill is a graduate of West Virginia University with a B.S. degree in Finance. He began his career in 1991 with a financial planning firm in York, Pennsylvania and as an analyst at Johns Hopkins before joining Legg Mason and The Will Group in 1994.

In 2003 after completing rigorous course and study requirements at The American College and passing a comprehensive exam, he was awarded the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.

Bill stays active in the community and has served on a number of boards including The Gaithersburg Chamber of Commerce and the Friends of Wells Robertson House. Bill most recently served on the Board of Trustees for the Will Group Foundation, focused on helping Metro area youth. He resides in Ijamsville, Maryland with his wife, Joanna, and their 4 children.
